Street Rankings 2007 for Yorkshire and the Humber

With the Mouseprice.com Street Rankings 2007 showing the average property value on Sandmoor Drive in Leeds (LS17) hitting over a million pounds, the north south divide could seem like a thing of the past. However, the riches of Postcode District LS17 are not limited to Sandmoor Drive. In fact, LS17 accounts for one tenth of the most exclusive streets in the top 100 for the region.

Other streets with property values averaging over £1m include Linton Lane, Tib Garth, Alwoodley Gates, and Lane Head Road. But what do these streets have in common?

Sandmoor Drive, Linton Lane, Tib Garth, and Alwoodley Gates all lie in Leed’s northern suburbs, with easy access to the city centre, Leeds Bradford Airport, and ‘A’ roads leading to the motorway network. Similarly, the southern suburbs of Leeds City Centre also appear on the Mouseprice.com Property Rich List for the region numerous times.

Harrogate also proves to be a wealthy centre of the Yorkshire and Humber region, accounting for a fifth of the Top 100 most expensive streets in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Other postcode districts with a high proportion of expensive streets are S10, S11, S17 all to the south west of Sheffield city centre and bordered on their western side by the Pennines. YO24, YO26 and YO30 which are all to the south west and west of picturesque York City Centre are also responsible for a high proportion of the most expensive streets in the region.
